Fatherhood Initiative fathers and families take in a game

Aug 11, 2015

More than 100 fathers who benefit from the United Way-supported Summit County Fatherhood Initiative enjoyed a Father’s Day Game on Sunday, June 21 with the Akron RubberDucks at Canal Park in downtown Akron. Children, partners, and even some grandchildren joined in the afternoon of activities.

Between eating and innings the group was treated to fun events like “which father and son look the most alike” and “which father has the best dance moves.”  Funding for this outing came from Akron Neighborhood Partnership Program and the Office of Summit County Executive Russ Pry.

The Summit County Fatherhood Initiative provides programming and services to help men have better relationships with their children.
