The Dorothy O. Jackson Society recognizes the importance of a richly diverse and engaged community and encourages the involvement of people of color in United Way’s efforts.
United Way of Summit & Medina’sTocqueville Society
United Way’s Tocqueville Society was founded locally in 1989 by Ann and David Brennan. It has brought together Greater Akron’s preeminent philanthropists and business leaders to serve United Way at every level of leadership.
These represent some of United Way’s most enduring partnerships, and society members continue to provide a powerful example of leadership through service, advocating for those in our community who need our help the most.
