United Way of Summit & Medina’s Day of Action this year generated nearly 1,000 hours of community service throughout Summit and Medina counties. The annual event, which took place this year on June 28, brought together 233 volunteers to help 20 local nonprofits in the area.
Volunteers from 17 organizations rehabbed houses, packed goodie bags for kids, landscaped and more. Day of Action is just one of many volunteer opportunities hosted by United Way of Summit & Medina throughout the year. These volunteer opportunities give individuals and teams the opportunity to serve their communities and make a positive impact while learning about United Way’s ongoing efforts to improve the Summit and Medina County communities.
