Tickets are on sale for United Way of Summit & Medina’s Taste of Medina County, which will take place on September 7 at the Blair Center at Westfield,
9079 Leroy Rd., Seville OH 44273. The annual event, which is entering its 32nd year, brings together local restaurants and gives them the opportunity to showcase their culinary skills. Guests can sample dishes from each of the restaurants.
Taste of Medina County will feature live music by the Other Brothers. In addition to food and an open bar, guests can participate in raffles, play games to win additional raffle tickets and vote for their favorite participating restaurant.
Individual tickets go for $65, or $50 for a designated driver option. Sponsorships, which begin at $1,000 are also available.
Proceeds from the event support United Way’s direct services to residents in Medina County. In addition to providing supportive services like 211 and Imagination Library, United Way is working to financially empower 2,500 Medina County residents by giving them the tools and skills to budget, save, pay down their debt and increase their credit scores. These services are offered free to residents of Medina County.
“We are proud to work with our sponsors and the many talented restaurants that choose to participate in Taste of Medina County. The funds raised will help us serve Medina County residents and help them build lasting stability,” said Malorie Kormos, United Way of Summit & Medina’s vice president of marketing, major gifts and individual giving. “When we help families and individuals financial empowerment, the result is greater economic development, a more stable work force and more opportunities for residents to grow and thrive.”
